Olivet Discourse
Matthew 23-25 - Mark 13 - Luke 21
The Olivet Discourse is often called the Little Apocolypse because it is so closely aligned with The Apocolypse - The Revelation of Yeshua. And why wouldn’t it be? Both are directly from Yeshua. The Olivet Discourse not only provides additional details, but also lays out the chronological order of events. This chronological order is a perfect match for the order of events in the Revelation. Both of these also align with Daniel in which Yeshua instructed us to take into account.
The first four seals are unique and grouped together representing the “beginning of birth pains”.
The first seal is the only seal accompanied by a “voice of thunder”. Hōs phōnē brontēs ("as the voice of thunder [speaks]") reveals a coming storm (cf. Rev. 14:2; 19:6). The first seal deserves such a grand announcement signaling the beginning of 70th week. The scroll is about to unsealed and opened!
The horse is white because it is a counterfeit of the coming True white horse (at the end of Daniel’s 70th week). It is a counterfeit righteousness coming for unjust conquest. It is in the spirit of antichrist… meaning, anything that is opposite of Christ.
Everything Satan and the Antichrist do during this time will be a mirror image of the actions of Yeshua. The Antichrist overcomes the fatal wound (resurrected to life); they sit in the holy place and claim to be God; they seal their followers just as we are sealed and the 144,000 will be physically sealed; they seek worship; as Yeshua and the Father are one, so goes Satan and the Antichrist; the “throne” is shared just as Yeshua and Yahweh; etc.. It’s all smoke and mirrors.
The horse is white under the false appearance of being righteous.
Yeshua cannot be the rider. He is the One opening the seals and releasing the horsemen. The four riders belong together as part of archē ōdinōn (“the beginning of birth-pains”). Yeshua is the rider called Faithful and True in Rev 19:11-16 and He rides out at the end of the 70th week followed by the Heavenly Host. That is the ONLY time He rides out on the white horse - for the Battle of Aramageddon.
The first seal rider is given a crown… Yeshua rides with many crowns (Rev 19:12) and has a Sword issuing from His Mouth - the Word of God.
The rider of the first seal is a counterfeit… a counterfeit righteousness… a counterfeit time of peace. This rider is not a rider at all… just like the other three “riders” - it is a growing movement, or force, that will begin setting the stage for the Great Tribulation period.
