A story from my library of books dramatically illustrates the difference between true and false belief, or faith.
A renowned aerialist had a steel cable stretched across Niagara Falls, with one end anchored in the United States and the other end anchored in Canada. After successfully pushing a wheel barrow across the wire, from the United States side to the Canadian side, using only the wheel barrow for balance, he asked two young men standing nearby if they believed he could now push the wheel barrow back again, to safety on the other side - but this time with someone riding in the wheel barrow. Both men, unhesitatingly said they believed he could. But when he asked the first to volunteer as the rider, he quickly declined. Turning to the second man, the aerialist posed the same question. To the astonishment of the crowd the second man agreed and climbed in the wheel barrow.
Now I pose the question to you...
Which man's faith was genuine?
